Naming chests changes the text on the upper left corner when you right click it and the new texture update makes it possible to add animations to blocks.

The thing about texture packs is not cool for the maker. I think. I haven’t seen how it works yet.

Oh it’s my texture pack. Now texturepacks can be used in snapshots and still show the new textures :)

As you said, the trapped chest only emits weak power, which isn’t enough to power redstone through a block or turn off a torch anyway.
You need a block and a repeater coming out of it to continue the power.

Rename the spawn egg then get killed by it and the msg will say something like [(USERNAME) Was Shot By (Whatever you named it)] and for the chests when you rename and place it the name will show up instead of Chest
