You should totally check out the Witch farm design from the JL server, the sawn pads are very nice.

You can do something like if tripwire is on, then do the action for one second and then to make it work again the trip wire should turn off and then back on
ANOTHER THING: When mobs fall from the top floor, they wont land on the two blocks because they fell through one block

i think you need the tripwires to give a quick pulse. because if you have it the way your doing it they can get stuck in the middle of a block(like you said). if you have a quick pulse it wolnt get stuck it will just wait for them to move to another or continue pulsing like the one in JL’s video. but they probly wouldnt get stuck any way because the pistons trigger as soon as they spawn.

The disconnect is because of your client not getting notified of the EntityPrimedTNT and therefore not being notified of the explosion, which leads to you standing on blocks that are no longer there (= “flying”). I thought they fixed that in 1.4.4?

The point of the big roof is not having walls and now you put water-walls there which have the same spawning-decreasing effect. Also watch your redstone not to be on the level above the spawning pads. KingDaddyDMAC discussed this very nicely in one of his last videos.

The water thing on the witch roof is that water flows towards the nearest hole or egde.

xiusma, watch JL2579 double witch farm design. with the slightest amount of lighting caves he has a BEAST witch farm. It will really help

JL2579 has a witch farm design and what he did is when a witch activates the tripwire it the pistons don’t retract once, but there is a pulse while it’s activated so the witch is forced to fall. build a one tic timer and then, if the tripwire is activated it extends just one piston allowing the signal to go through with repeaters.. if this is not clear watch his video
