Xisu; back in 1.3 I tried synching nether portals so that I could get from ground level up to my Sky spawner in relatively small amounts of time. The X and Z coordinates seemed like they didn’t matter, or at least had small influence when the Y coordinates aren’t the same.

on hermit craft u can walk though the portals without being teleported how do u do that?

That only happens when there is no sufficient location to place it nearby, I believe. Here, 0,0 was at the shore of a lava sea, would it have been around the middle, it would probably have spawned such a portal.

I knew how this worked already, but I never really understood it clearly. It was more like following instructions. This really helped me understand it.

Just take it step by step. Listen to the instructions a couple of times until you get it :-)
