I believe they are solely used for trading with the villagers and pretty much nothing else

Monkeyfarm, insted of the water in the middle of the dome, you should make a few floors that sort the kinds of villagers

if you trade with them once they get more tuff to trade afterwards thats what the arrows were for

Monkeyfarm, I think you should now that after you trade with the NPC they have purple spirals around them and fly up and then you will be able to re-click on them and press the right or left arrow and you will be able to get a variety of items!!
