lots of recent games use voxels, its a very popular format at the moment though there were still lots before minecraft. I think minecraft becoming how big it did made all these other games more prominent though I personally don’t see it as a bad thing :)

I didn’t say it was a bad thing, a bad thing would be if somebody made a game called Craftmine and it had the same mechanics. Stone hearth is different.
