@MinecraftNZL with snapshot 12w08a, it converts your map (to a new map format)… i don’t think you can go back once you’ve converted it… if you actually can, yes i assume anything built above the sky limit would disappear.

Say if you built a dome above the sky cap in 1.2 and then reverted (Downgraded) back to 1.1 or below, would any block above the old sky cap be deleted?

make a tnt launcher to the island to shoot yourself to there!!! (like you have somewhere in your base (the one that dosnt kill you))
