Why don’t you automate the chest to come out to you with minecarts?

Make two ender chests (if so) carry one with u when ever u venture off so then u will also have a ender chest at the base and u will have more room in ur inventory that’s wat I do :P

yes it does what you should do is have hoppers and chests leading down to a chest to get the item out so you have extra storage as well if you get this then it is simple if not then you will not

I was thinking of items which either don’t stack, like doors or wooden shovels, or don’t stack much, like bowels.

Its a good point, but its all water that he placed, and its all a 1×1 path. so can’t squids/ink sacs not get in there?
