For cows head into the desert. On the far side you will find a marsh to which if you go into it and towards the right you should find cows in that area. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes to locate and walk them back to the village / starting area

i’m playing this map for a few days now, never saw a cow in there even by going very far away to force new chuncks. Thats a real pain.
