i see you made 1 two wide and 1 high, you could just place the pistons and redstone on top of the hoppers and than you have 1 wide and 2 high, works the same but could be better in some situations

It is new content that will be in the next official version of Minecraft. Etho is using a snapshot, which is a downloadable preview of the new content. You can download this yourself, there is a blog at Mojang.com for details.
