etho, if you cut away all the blocks around a piece of stone so it is

Oh, btw the straw & hide bed can be made by placing 2 thatch blocks next to
each other on the floor and right click on them with a large raw hide (so
for example from killing a bear). Sadly though, the bed does not pass the
night, it does reset your spawn point though. On the upside you get the
materials back when you break the bed.
