Not the greatest place to ask this, nor the worst…. so here goes.

I built one of the oldschool style mob spawners, and have been lighting my
caves like absolute mad…. but I get zero spawns. Its dark, proper flow,
in the sky, and over water. Sometimes I get one or two mobs dropping down
it, but never a proper amount. I can’t get my mob spawn over 2 or 3 for
some reason. My cap seems to be about 54 or 55 mobs, but its always like
2/54 or 3/54 etc. I have a golem farm right beside it, and I wonder if this
is interfering with spawning somehow????? Any tips from the community would
be good. Again, I have lit MUCH of the surrounding area, and xray mod I
cannot see any mobs around at all, or dark caves.
