Dude… I can build fully automated wheat farm in vanilla minecraft without bonemeal so making cocoa farm is nothing special (fully automated too) I just go to these type of videos to check something new not to learn basics.

then just do the usual thing and have a water cocoa farm, trigger it when you want to harvest, then replant, this is a effective design, if you want to just vanilla replant gp vanilla no-redstone farm
