I think you can use paintings instead of ladders or trap doors.

@monkeyfarm I only noticed just now that you’ve removed all pistons in your spawner. What’s the reason for that and what design do you have now? This one doesn’t seem to spawn any spiders, so where do you get your string? Great video as always.
