i think he should do a dessert. taiga, snow and mushroom style houses as it would be a good design challenge especially the mushroom and dessert biomes

1. You should make an adventure map 2.you can get big trees by placing 1-3 wood on to of a sapling then on the top block surround it so theres a circle for the tree to grow
