The new quartz building blocks look really nice and will allow for much better looking ancient roman buildings in vanilla Minecraft.
The hopper makes it a lot easier to process your ores while you do other stuff, you don’t have to come back for every new stack.
The texture pack change is a huge improvement for modding, because if a texture-pack doesn’t have a file for a block, it can just use the original file.
The names are awesome for adventuremaps.
these are some very nice changes imo.

the chiseled quartz recipe is 1 block above other or 2 slabs one above one..liek at sandstone..I forgot how but its one of these 2.
