For the shell of the Avalon Hub, what about a row of Nether Brick then a row of glass. 2 blocks behind the Nether Brick, put Nether Rack and light it on fire (don’t know if this would catch the Nether Brick on fire or your wood). Rinse and repeat.

Build the Pyramid out of Grass because it symbolizes Life and reflects the overworld while the Netherbrick Pyramid in the Nether reflects the Nether so it matches!
