keep in mind a dispenser with bucket of lava, i think its a better option for exp farm, because this glass tube looks foreign and ugly (imho).

Oh, and another thing, remember that if you make the collection point and xp farm and whatnot right on top of the trap it’ll make 1/4-1/5 of it useless, since those floors will be within twenty odd blocks, and will as such prevent spawning.
