omg the new snapshot makes enchanting soooo easy max enchant lvl is 30 and it acts like 48-50enchant

do you need the piston in front of the enchanting table (near the entrance) because its not actually blocking any bookshelves

Heh. Hadn’t thought of the LOS blocking method. I built an adjustable enchanting room that actually moved the bookshelves in and out of range. The hardest part was satisfying my OCD to make it move them symmetrically, though I couldn’t quite make the lever arrangement symmetric as well as accessible from inside the room.
