easier way after you have enchanting table and maybe mob farm (Minecraft Troll logic):
1.get silk touch
2.dig grass blocks
3.dig or make a closed room of light
4.place the grass in 5×5
5.place bonemeal on the middle block
6.repeat for infinite weed :D

U dont need redstone to make a seed farm just get some grass blocks, put them in a cave and use bone meal its simple
